Volunteer Requirements
There will be a volunteer fee of $500 per family for 1st grade - 8th grade/14U players for the 2026 baseball season with an option of a $300 per player buyout if you choose not to volunteer. If you complete your volunteer hours, no further payment is needed. If you do not complete your volunteer hours, a $500 charge will be applied to your payment method on file in early October.
The volunteer requirement is 4 credits (approx. 4 hours) per player (travel and community) with a max of 6 credits per family, and will be tracked within the Crossbar system.
Each task could consist of working concession stands, field preparation, or other baseball program related activities. Volunteers must be 13 years or older and 16 years or older to handle cash in the concessions.
For the 2027 season, volunteer opportunities will be available at the Barnburner hosted Farmington travel baseball tournaments, a Gopher State tournament, and community program hosted tournament weekends. Details, including sign up times, are made available approximately 7-10 days ahead of each event.
Some key points regarding the volunteer system:
- Any posted volunteer slot is open to any Farmington Baseball Association family.
- You do not have to volunteer at an event you have a player participating in.
- To claim a spot-you must be logged in using the same user id you used to register your player.
- Select your player's name in the Player Name field to ensure proper credit is given. Fulfiller Name is the person doing the volunteering.
- Coaching in either program fulfills all volunteer requirements for your family, regardless of the number of players.
- Max of 6 credits (~6 hours) required per family.
Farmington Volunteer Opportunities:
Shifts will be posted for each event as details for the event are finalized. Please check back even if an opportunity appears full as spots often open up right before each event due to cancellations and last minute adds.
Note that volunteer opportunities cancelled due to weather will not count towards your volunteer requirement.
